The Green Buds nearby is versatile nature only which offers varied recreational activities climbing, trekking, Paragliding refresh your holidays at our Property. We recommends our guest to take the in hand experience of tea making in our Mini Tea Factory where they can pluck fresh tea leaves themselves and process them under the guidance of Tea Maker ; that tea can be packed for your personal use and gifts to your loved ones.

Our story

Royal Green Buds is a heritage property in the midst of tea gardens and in the lap of Dhauladhar mountains Since 1927. We inherit a world whose undercurrent of adherence to absolute beauty has over aeons moulded everything we see around. Magnified maximally here, nature is a beacon calling us ashore to a land of meaningful travel and measured indulgence. When we live as children of the land, caring for mother nature is our identity and not just a choice. Upholding the sanctity of the land by reducing waste is what we naturally do when we treat the larger local community as our family. ROYAL GREEN BUDS

View from the hotel,You will see loads of sunset,sunrise russet sparrows, Sibias, Rose Finches, Magpies, Bulbuls, barbets; fly catches, Redstarts, etc. You will also see lots of Himalayan Griffons, lammergeyer’s and kites trying to catch a thermal above the house during the day, depending on the season you visit us.Monsoons are very heavy here and post-monsoon starts mid September usually.If you wish to self cater and cook, you can shop for groceries and other supplies in Gopalpur which is very close. Specialty food and drink such as wine, premium liquor, cheese, dried fruit and nuts, packaged foods, spices, imported items, coffee etc are easily available in the well-stocked market of Gopalpur. All basic groceries are available close to the house itself. There are many grocery stores in the village.If you are using the kitchen then cleaning up after use will be your responsibility. If you would prefer to not clean while on holiday, then please let us know in advance and we can have this arranged at a small extra fee.

Royal Green Buds Restaurant is best place to dine out and parties. We offer best quality fresh food in hygienic environment. The house is in a village called Gopalpur in Dharamshala. Even though we are so close to Dharamshala; the hotel is nicely tucked away from all the crowds and noise. Our front yard has spectacular views of the snow-capped Dhauladhars, there are small village shops, a large market, restaurants etc all within walking distance of the house. Sidharath is the caretaker of my place will personally meet you upon your arrival and show you around the house. He lives in the village and will be available during times of the day to help you around. He will also be able to help you with any suggestions you may need in regards to places to visit, taxi and so on.The large garden surrounding the house with all the fruit and flower trees is a frequent haunt for the birds.

Royal Green Buds is located in the heart of the Kangra Valley, our Heritage property situated in midst of Tea gardens, and is a world away from many of the overly-commercialized tourist hubs of the state of Himachal. Royal Green Buds is conveniently located for visits to nearby Baijnath Temple and Andretta Pottery, and the heartlands of Tibetan Culture in exile, Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj, are easily accessible on a day’s visit. Royal Green Buds Gopalpur is most easily accessible by air with Kangra-Gaggal Airport less than half hour’s drive away. There are generally twice daily flights from Delhi and onward connecting flights nationwide. The nearest railheads at Pathankot and Una are a 3 hour drive. Dharamsala is famed as the holy abode of Tibetan Charismatic Leader Dalai Lama and houses the Tibetan Government in exile. Dharamsala is a synonym for Buddhism in India. Situated on the upper hilly terrains of Kangra valley and set against the scenic backdrop of exquisite Dhauladhar Mountains. The gorgeous city is distinctively divided as upper and lower divisions with two altitude ranges.Home to the Tibetan leader, this is the perfect place to learn about Buddhism and the Tibetan struggle for Freedom. The city is dominated by the Tibetan populace while still retaining the British fervor and English lifestyles. Numerous Buddhist Viharas or Gompas, presenting great cultural values and Tibetan architectures, are the main attractions of Dharamsala. Dharamsala has a vibrant environment with dense green forests with Deodar trees and pine trees. Blessed with many clear and unpolluted streams it is an ideal retreat for nature lovers. This place has been renowned as one of the best picnic spots in India.
